The first public event in Austria took place in cooperation with Dokustelle, ZARA and Salam Oida in the course of a festival called Muslim*Contemporary on the 25th of October 2024. A Community Event with different speakers, experts, artists and communities to talk about racism and discrimination in Austria from different perspectives. The main goal was exchange, strengthening the networking between communities and to raise awareness on the risks for communities and society as a whole when hate crimes and incidents occur. The event also offered information on where to get support from counselling centeres.
The following speaker were participating in the event and by including different art-forms, were able to provide an interesting and important evening.
